14/10/11 Cabaret Auditions and Important Dates
Our first cabaret is on Monday 28th November (so keep this evening free) and will involve snippets from 5 musicals. To be involved all you have to do is be a member of Musicality! We rehearse for the cabarets every Thursday night from 7pm – 9pm in the recital hall in the music department. You will also need to keep the weekend before the cabaret free, Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th November, as there will be rehearsals on those days.
You do not have to audition to be in the cabaret but if you would like a solo or a duet or would like to be part of one of the group numbers then auditions take place this Wednesday 26th October from 12pm – 5pm and you have to book a 5 minute slot. They will be held in the green room in the music department and the auditions are really relaxed so you have nothing to worry about, I promise. Just bring a piece of sheet music of any song that you have prepared, you can sing it unaccompanied or if you bring the piano part then someone will play it for you. Most of you will have already booked a slot at the rehearsal on Thursday but if you haven’t then there are still some time slots available. If you contact Kat Tye (one of our musical directors) on 07792629824 then she can book you into an available time slot.
22/10/11 Singing Workshop with Mark Aspinall!
This upcoming Saturday, Saturday 28th October, former Nottingham student, Mark Aspinall will be running a singing and vocal workshop from 12-4pm in the rehearsal hall in the music department.
